DSE glasses at the workplace
Your employees cannot do their job better than they can see. The combination of a properly set-up workstation and good vision is a prerequisite for an efficient employee’s well-being when performing DSE work. We therefore help to assess when there is a need for DSE glasses in the workplace under applicable legislation. We offer advice on setting up the workstation and choosing the right eyewear solution for DSE work.
Free corporate agreement
Dansk ErhvervsOptik offers companies free corporate agreements that ensure professional advice and workplace glasses at competitive prices. With Denmark’s largest retailer network, you are assured that your employees will always get the eyewear solution they need, whether it’s DSE glasses or safety glasses.
A lot of the discomfort experienced as a result of DSE work can be avoided with the help of DSE glasses, which are specially developed to take care of your eyes when undertaking such work.
Safety glasses protect the eyes against airborne particles, dust and splashes, the chemical effects of acids and gases, and radiation from welding or lasers.

What are the rules for DSE glasses?
The combination of a properly set-up workstation and good vision is a prerequisite for an efficient employee’s well-being when performing DSE work.
What are DSE glasses?
DSE glasses are specially developed to take care of your eyes when undertaking DSE work.
DSE glasses are specially developed to take care of your eyes when undertaking DSE work. DSE glasses allow you to focus on a screen that is further away than the distance at which you normally hold a book or newspaper.
A lot of people use their prescription glasses when working in front of the computer. This can cause problems such as headaches, back pain, stiffness in the neck and shoulders as well as fatigue and stinging eyes, because they are not typically adapted to the viewing distance from the screen. You therefore risk straining your eyes and adopting a bad sitting posture in order to be able to see a clear image on the screen. This can lead to the discomforts mentioned.
Developments in DSE lenses have meant that the optician can now adapt DSE glasses to individual needs. So you no longer have to constantly put your glasses on and take them off in different work situations. With DSE glasses adapted to your individual needs, you can see the screen and keyboard clearly, as well as look out to a distance of either 1, 2 or 4 metres, depending on the type of lens you choose.
DSE glasses alone cannot prevent all discomforts. It is also important to consider how your workstation is set up, both in relation to lighting, monitor configuration, working posture and variation in the daily work routines.

- I have to be able to look clearly at the screen, keyboard and desk 1.5 to 2 metres out into the room.
